Fr. Tony Melton

Fr. Tony serves as priest and planting rector at Christ the King Anglican Church. He was ordained a priest in 2015 after graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary with his ThM in 2012 and Cranmer Theological House with his ThM in 2013. Before arriving in Georgia in 2019, he spent 5 years as assisting priest at The Chapel of the Cross and Headmaster of The Saint Timothy School in Dallas, TX. He and his wife, Vandi, have five children. Fr. Tony enjoys playing sports, especially golf, and talking theology over coffee/beer.

Fr. Josh Grote

Fr. Josh was raised in the Reformed Episcopal Church. He was ordained to the Diaconate in 1994 and to the Priesthood in 2004, and has served in REC parishes all around the country. Fr Josh has always worked outside of the Church as a supply chain professional, taking ministry into the workplace through Christian leadership. Recent assignments have included leading US Distribution Operations for The Home Depot and presently he is leading the buildout of Distribution Operations for Chick-Fil-A. He and his wife Suzanne have 3 children and he enjoys mentoring leaders, playing golf, and woodworking.

Dcn. Bill Johnston

Bill was ordained a deacon in 2016 after graduating from Holy Apostles College and Seminary with a Master of Arts in Theology. He also earned a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Georgia State University and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia since 1994. Bill currently works in healthcare quality management. He and his wife Jennie were original members of the Christ the King launch team.

Dcn. Kyle Hughes

Dcn. Kyle is director of catechesis at CTK. He was ordained to the diaconate in 2019 and holds a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and a PhD from Radboud University Nijmegen in early Christian studies. An accomplished researcher and author, he has published three books and several articles on topics as diverse as pre-Nicene trinitarian theology and classical Christian education. His popular writing has appeared in places such as Anglican Compass, Modern Reformation, and The North American Anglican. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Webber Center at Trinity School for Mission, is a Pastoral Fellow at the Catechesis Institute, and is Lower School Principal at The Stonehaven School. He and his wife, Karisa, live in Powder Springs with their three young children. You can learn more about his research and writing here.

Dcn. Tyler Holley

Dcn. Tyler was ordained in May of 2023 and serves CTK as the Parish Developer.  He holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology with a special focus on Theological Exegesis. Currently, he is in the final stages of his dissertation for a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Tyler enjoys learning and writing about how Christian Theology can meaningfully contribute to the contemporary discourse surrounding many modern political and social issues. However, more than anything, he loves to help everyday Christians connect their experiences in life and ministry with the great tradition of Christian reflection and with the God who is near and ready to bless.

Fr. Spencer Amaral

Fr. Spencer is our Planting Curate. This means that he will undergo a time of training at CTK (called a “curacy”) before being deployed as a church planter in an area surrounding Marietta (likely Canton). He was ordained a deacon in 2021 and a priest in 2023. He graduated with a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary.
